Failure & Success

Don't be discouraged by a failure. Failure is, in a sense, the highway to success, in as much as every discovery of what is false leads us to seek earnestly after what is true, and every fresh experience points out some form of error which we shall afterwards carefully avoid. ( John Keats)

Many of life's failures are people who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up. ( Thomas edison)

Open Your Heart

An honest heart is an open heart. If we are dishonest with ourselves or with others, it means we are in hiding. There is a wall, a barrier behind which we conceal something of ourselves. Subtle tension will be our companion, and it drains our energy and tighten our muscles. On the other hand don't be too honest with others; sometimes others are not ready to hear what is in your heart. But know that when you are honest you will experience a level of inner relaxation.

Shaking Off The Past

A wise man was participating in a conversation. He contributed by telling the group a joke. All those present were highly amused and appreciated the humour. After a while, he narrated the joke again. This time the response was more tempered. After some time, he said it the third time and it evoked barely any response. When he tried repeating it a fourth time, a member of the group burst out: Why are you repeating the joke so many times ? It's no longer amusing, it's irritating!''. The wise man responded: "if repeating a joke ceases to amuse after a few times, then how do we carry on with repeated remembrance of painful stories?".

We tend to get caught in sense-illusion. We feed illusions and mistake that for fulfillment. The minute what we expected to achieve does not happen, it makes us feel disturbed. And if the same situation turns in our favour, it excites our senses. They have tendencies to change in accordance to the situation. So whatever is bound to change is not real and what is not real cannot be true. ( Tripti Bhupen)

Q. How can you not see something that's wrong and not feel bad when you see it ?
Ans :- That's a very good question, Sara, and I promise you that in time I will answer it fully for you. I know that it's not easy to understand this all at once. And the reason that it's difficult to understand at first is because you have been trained to observe conditions, but you have not been trained to pay attention to how you feel when you are observing and so, the conditions seem to control your lives. If you are observing something good, you have a good feeling response and if you are observing something bad, you have a bad feeling response. When the conditions seem to control your lives, that is frustrating for most of you, and that is what causes so many people to continue to join the chain-of-pain.

Morpheus Quotes :-   "Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony."
"What is "real"? How do you define "real"?"
"This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill -- the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill -- you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."
"I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it."
"Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream, Neo? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? "
"The Matrix is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth."
"What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad."
"Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself."
"If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain."
"The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it."
"There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path."

When you are in love or when love arises, cooperate with it, don't try resisting. People come to a compromise. The compromise is : You don't hurt me, i will not hurt. That's what marriage is. The pathology that humanity seems to be suffering from is robot pathology. We have beome robots, have become unaware and that leads to become mechanical and so we have become unhappy. " The Bishop was very happy with a Father for his excellent missionary work. He called the Father and said, I am very happy with your missionary work, and as a token of my love i am going to give you a very beautiful Arabian horse, which i have loved, so that it may help you in carry out your missionary work. But there is only one condition that you should be aware of....the horse only knows two words-'Hallelujah' and 'O God'. Being tamed by a Bishop, it has become very religious. so if you want to make it run utter 'O God' and if you want to make it stop, you have to say 'Hallelujah'. The father sat on the beautiful Arabian horse and said, 'O God', the horse started galloping at greater speed. And as he said 'o God' again and again, it ran faster and faster. While the father was enjoying the ride, suddenly he realised that the horse was heading towards the brink of a cliff. Now he wanted to stop the horse and said,'stop, stop! The horse did not stop. Then he remembered to say,'Hallelujah' and immediately, the horse stopped right at the edge. One moment later they would have plunged to their deaths. And then he looked at the valley and said, "O God"! You saved me". No sooner had he uttered this, the horse started galloping....so uttering O God was mechanical act and not one that was thought out.

It may appear that we are plagued with numerous difficulties and distresses, but there's actually only one fundamental disorder: a sense of separation from the universal, original source of all-the "father" that we have named God. Once we understand that there's no separation from God, our other problems become manageable and our fear begins to fade as darkness before the dawn. As the adage says: "when the pupil is ready, the teacher appears". The messenger arrives in many forms: as a teacher, book, lecture, or physician- or even as an apparently "stray" comment. You are an important part of God's creation. God doesn't play favorites or choose one person over another. God can only love everyone equally, and God is within you, willing to do good. Understanding the law of mind is the key to fulfilling life, because through your beliefs, you create your future. This is the essence of many religions: "Ask,and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you".

If we practice present moment awareness, then the imaginary obstacles- which are more than 90 percent of the obstacles- disappear. The remaining obstacles can be transformed into opportunities through one pointed intention. This means holding our attention to the intended outcome with such unbending purpose that we refuse to allow obstacles to consume our attention, or to dissipate the focussed quality of our attention. This is the power of focussed intention and detachment simultaneously.

When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we are pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. When all is lost,
a miracle occurs,
and life begins.  ( by Danielle Steel)
There is a reson for everything that happens in your life and resisting "what is" brings you no closer to understanding that purpose. Your life and your experience of it are in your hands. If you are intent upon understanding how to be an active and conscious creator of your life rather than an unconscious reactor and resistor to your life's events, you must uncover the reasons that lie behind your resistance to change. There is a distinct purpose for each person and each situation that gets presented in your life.

In order to know more, do more, and be more, we must have more. We must have things to use because we learn and do and become only by using things. You are to become a creator, not a competitor. You are going to get what you want, but in such a way that when you get it every other person will have more than he has now. Get rid of the idea that God wants you to sacrifice yourself for others, that you can secure his favor by doing so. God requires nothing of the kind. What he wants is that you should make most of yourself- for yourself, and for others. And, you can help others more by making the most of yourself than in any other way.

Treasure the roller-coaster thrill that life has to offer. Keep turning the page. Life is full of surprise every day

At the age of 17, Sidney Sheldon tried to commit suicide. Below words are from his father Otto, when he saw sidney having handful of sleeping pills.....
It's your life. You can do anything you want with it. If you are not in too big a hurry, why don't we go for a little walk. Every day is a different page, Sidney, and they can be full of surprises. You will never know what's next until you turn the page. I would hate to see you close the book too soon and miss all the excitement that could happen to you on the next page.

During his incredible career with great success as novelist,  this is what he said on his 88th Bday:-
I am very grateful for few of my experiences. I am grateful to Otto, who convinced me to keep turning the pages during tough time. I love to write, and I am lucky to be working at something that I care about. I believe that no one can take credit for whatever talent they may have. Talent is a gift, whether it's for painting or music or writing, and we should be grateful for whatever talent we have been given, and work hard at it. What I enjoy most is the actual process of writing.

The student taking an exam, but distracted by a popular song running through his head; the businessman trying to write an important contract, but worried over an argument that he had that morning with his wife; the judge distracted by the fact that a teenager to whose defence he is trying to listen bears a striking resemblance to his own son: All of these persons could tell us something of the disadvantages of poor focus.
A focussed mind succeeds not only because it can solve problems with greater dispatch, but also because problems have a way of somehow vanishing before its focussed energies, without even required to be solved. A focussed  mind often attracts opportunities for success that, to less focussed ( and therefore less successful) individuals, appear to come by sheer luck.

Those who have not found their true wealth, which is the radiant joy of Being and the deep, unshakeable peace that comes with it, are beggars, even if they have great material wealth. They are looking outside for scraps of pleasure or fulfillment, while they have a treasure within that not only includes all those things but is infinitely greater than anything the world can offer.
