A child once accompanied his parents on an outing to the mountains. With them, he drank cool water from a mountain stream. Loving its fresh taste, he filled a bottle from the stream and took it home with him. There, he would sip only a little water each day, wanting to make it last as long as possible.
What was his disappointment a few weeks later, then, to find that the water left in the bottle had become stagnant. Money, similarly, grows stagnant when we "bottle it up"- that is to say, hoard it. To attract a steady money-flow in our lives, we must learn to view money not as a thing merely, but as an expression of energy- ultimately, as an expression of our energy.

Assess the people around you; understand them for what they are. Then you will not have unreasonable expectations of them. Do you hate a lion for its ferocity? Do you dislike a deer for its timidity? No. You understand that they all function according to their nature. As long as you feel negativity about anyone you will suffer, not the other person.

The inner wealth is our mind, our consciousness. I believe that this mind is like a wish-fulfilling jewel. If you know how to utilise this mind, it can produce the most beneficial effects. The best way to utilise and develop this mind is to absorb knowledge, and the most important kind of knowledge is the one that makes us a kind person, a decent person, a person worthy of respect. The qualities which make an individual kind, decent and respectable are qualities such as patience, generosity and kindness. The good news is that we do not have to adopt or create these qualities , since they are already potentially there in all of us. In this way, the wealth lies latent within each and every one of us.
So all we need to do is give ourselves, everyday, a bit of a reason to generate these qualities, bit by bit. We actually have to be grateful for obstacles because without them we never learn. It is thank to difficulties and challenge that we can come up with solutions, some of which will work and some not. But even if they don't work, it doesn't mean we should give up. It only means we should try again.

You see, any time you are actively in motion in pursuit  of your goals, you create a precessional effect in the
world that will turn out to be far more important than you initially were capable of understanding or intending. In other words, millions of people you'll never meet  will benefit whenever you take action on your goals - particularly when those goals are in the service of your higher good or are in service of humanity.

Reviewed by Anne B. for Readers Favorite - (5-star Review)

Rajappan begins his book "The Illuminator: Access to Universal Intelligence" with an introduction in which he discusses “feeling good in moments of pressure.” He stresses that we should not allow situations surrounding us to control the way we feel. As we delved farther into the book we learn about our inner voice. Too often we deny or ignore that voice as it attempts to direct us. A large part of changing is learning to let go of the past. If we hold on to past hurts we will stay miserable. Many are willing to place blame on fate rather than their own decisions. While Rajappan calls the inner voice our intuition I see it as the Holy Spirit. The author’s purpose in writing this book is to assist the reader in “evolution” or change. He wants to see others grow, mature, develop and progress. He points out that evil and negative thoughts often come up in situations of love, such as if you love someone and they do not return that love. In Chapter 11 Rajappan discusses the effect negative emotions have on our health. From personal experience I can attest that he is correct in his assessment. A person can become physically ill from depression, jealousy, and hatred.

"The Illuminator" is a small book with only 50 pages. The information that lies inside shows influence from the author’s culture. While the author and I do not agree on everything, I do see great wisdom in this book. "The Illuminator" is written much like a work book. The end has space for recording coincidences. At the end of each chapter the reader will discover a rule that will assist in a journey towards change. Although this book is small in size, it is large in perception.

Steve Jobs's Legacy: Design Your Own Life

While there are many things worth celebrating of Steve Jobs's life, the greatest gift Steve gave us is a way to design our own lives.
Steve Jobs was known for being a design god who sweated experience, and pixels and, well, everything. "Design," he once said, "is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks. But, of course, if you dig deeper, it's how it really works. You have to grok what it is all about."
In our society, thinking for ourselves is not highly valued. Our education model was designed with the 19th century more than the 21st century in mind. It reinforces fitting in and suppresses much of the natural creativity we start with. That's how we go from drawing and acting and make-believe to PowerPoint. If we allow creativity at all, it is limited to arts and sports. "Real work" has us looking like a Dilbert character. Between the pressures of our teachers, parents, and ultimately co-workers, we often give up any search for personal meaning as we aim to belong to a tribe. After a while, we may not even believe we have something unique to offer. Rather than figure out what we are each about, far too many of us live within the boxes others define.

Synchrodestiny

“According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment, just two indications that a transformation is taking place within you toward a higher consciousness. The first symptom is that you stop worrying. Things don't bother you anymore. You become light-hearted and full of joy. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities. And this accelerates to the point where you actually experience the miraculous. (quoted by Carol Lynn Pearson in Consider the Butterfly)”

Magic Within

You have the power within you to make your world, your environment, just what you want it to be. If obstacles are in the way of attainment, then you are not using the magic power within your mind. You recharge your battery by using positive words and thinking positive thoughts.
Elizabeth Barrett, the poetess, was a cripple. She could not walk. What happened when she fell i love with Robert Browning, the poet ? He was very determined that she should walk. He talked to her in a very positive way, and soon she did walk, from a distance right into arms. And that was the beginning of a beautiful romance. She loved, she believed; two of the greatest forces at work, and the magic came.
